This quote formed the basis of my concept for this project. After researching and studying a site in downtown San Luis Obispo, I began developing an existing historical building into what would become a haven of a micro-library, baths, and garden. I chose to direct my studies towards designing a place for all people to gather; a place where everyone would form memories and feel at home. Three conceptual levels of the home provide distinct purposes: creation, cleansing, and reflection. I wanted to mimic this relationship and vertical journey in my concept for this project.
